How We Score

What our scores are

Every device on RatingVerdict receives a score from 0 to 10 on each criterion of its category, and an overall score computed as the weighted sum of those criteria. The criteria and their weights are published below for every category. The same formula applies to every device, with no exceptions.

Where the data comes from

Our scoring is research-based. For each device we analyze the manufacturer's published specifications, independent expert reviews, and aggregated feedback from verified buyers across major retail platforms, and we compare price against delivered performance. We do not perform physical laboratory testing, and we never claim to.

Do commissions influence rankings?

No. Some devices link to partner offers and earn us a commission; others do not. Both are scored with the identical formula, and a device without any partner offer keeps its honest position in every ranking. Affiliate links are always disclosed on the page where they appear.

How often are scores updated?

Device data is reviewed when prices change materially, when a manufacturer updates a product, and before each seasonal refresh of a ranking. Every page shows its "Updated" date, which reflects the newest data behind it.
